Quality Assurance

Quality You Can Trust — From Uganda's Farms to Your Factory

At Kabuyaya Agriculture International Commodities Co. Ltd., quality is not an afterthought — it is built into every step of our supply chain. From farm selection to container loading, we apply rigorous quality control to ensure every shipment meets your specifications and international standards.

Our Quality Control Process

1. Farm-Level Selection

We work exclusively with trained smallholder farmers who follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Only beans from verified farms enter our supply chain.

2. Fermentation Management

Cocoa beans are fermented for 5–7 days using controlled heap or box fermentation methods. Regular turning and temperature monitoring ensure consistent fermentation levels of minimum 75% fully fermented beans.

3. Sun Drying on Raised Beds

After fermentation, beans are spread on raised drying beds and sun-dried to achieve a moisture content of maximum 7.5%, preventing mould and ensuring long shelf life during transit.

4. Sorting & Grading

Beans are hand-sorted and machine-graded to remove defective, mouldy, insect-damaged, or germinated beans. We target a defect rate of less than 3%.

5. Pre-Shipment Inspection

Every batch undergoes a pre-shipment inspection by our internal quality team. We check moisture content, bean count, fermentation level, colour, and physical defects before bagging.

6. Third-Party Inspection (Available on Request)

We welcome independent inspection by internationally recognised agencies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek prior to shipment, at the buyer's request.
